An AppLovin creative review should answer three questions: does the ad suit the placement, does it represent the brand accurately, and does the finished file work on a phone?
A strong concept can still lose its value through unreadable captions, an inconsistent offer or an abrupt audio cut. At Upscale, we use these three checks to guide the review before launch.
1. Review channel fit
Give the viewer a reason to care early. The opening should establish the product and the audience it serves, then make room for a coherent explanation.
For a longer cut, every scene should move that explanation forward. Show the product, demonstrate its value, answer an objection and make the next action clear. Extending a short social ad with repeated footage does not create a stronger story.
Watch the entire ad with the sound off. Captions and visuals should carry the message together. If the asset already contains captions, inspect and improve those captions instead of adding a second competing layer.
Check the interactive experience too. The video, Interactive Page and destination should agree on the product, promise and offer.
2. Review brand accuracy
Write down who the ad is for and what idea it tests. That sentence should guide the hook, visuals and call to action.
Then check every claim, price and offer against approved brand information. The logo, typography, voice and product presentation should be recognizable as the same brand the shopper will encounter on the website.
3. Review the finished experience
Inspect the export on a phone. Check caption contrast and placement, scene continuity, dead frames and the audio mix. Listen across every transition for dropouts, spikes and abrupt music changes.
A file passing export validation still needs this viewing check. The viewer experiences a complete story, not a list of technically valid scenes.
Use the review as a learning record: save the issues found, the edits made and the idea the finished ad will test. That makes the next batch easier to brief and evaluate.
